Why Does My Brand Need Omnichannel Customer Engagement?
Integration of online and offline channels is not just beneficial—it's essential for brands looking to provide a seamless and engaging customer experience. Omnichannel strategies allow businesses to meet customers wherever they are, blending the digital and physical worlds to create a cohesive brand experience that increases engagement and drives sales.
How Can I Use rediem to Engage Customers In-Store and In-Person?
rediem stands out as a truly omnichannel loyalty and engagement platform designed to bridge the gap between your online presence and physical retail spaces. While direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands have precise insights into their customer behaviors online, rediem extends this data-driven approach to physical retail, a realm traditionally a data "black box." With rediem, businesses can gain insights into who is buying their products at third-party retailers, where direct customer interaction is typically minimal.
Ways You Can Engage Your Customers Offline:
Geolocation-Based Challenges:
To track in-person actions, you simply need to set up a custom action with a geolocation requirement.
Here are some fun applications of this functionality:
Photo Challenges ("Shelfies"): Encourage customers to find your product in-store and take a selfie with it. This fun activity not only promotes interaction with your product but also provides rediem with real-time data on your product’s presence and customer engagement in various locations. On the backend, we can host location data on your stockists and automatically recognize if a customer is in a location that sells your product.
Here's how you'd do this:
set up a custom action with "image with geo."
add the CSV file with the locations of your stockists (or a few specific locations you're looking to drive traffic)
in tracking instruction, explain that the customer should take a photo of the product on shelf while they are currently in the store. (or any other creative direction!)
voila - everything will be manually tracked and you will see the posts in your community approval dashboard.
Attend a Pop-Up: Drive traffic to specific events by inviting customers to attend pop-ups. Use these gatherings to deepen customer relationships and gather firsthand feedback on new products or campaigns. You'll set this up the same way as the example above, except you may want to add date parameters for when the pop-up will take place by adjusting "start date" and "end date" in the custom action setup.
You can also decide if the action is repeatable or not in the action setup. If you want the action to be repeatable (the customer can take the action and earn points more than once), you can then decide the length of time required between actions.
Example: you could reward a customer for attending an exercise challenge once per day over the course of the pop-up experience or allow them to be rewarded for attending an in-store event once per month.
Scavenger Hunts with Other Brands: Collaborate with other brands to create in-store scavenger hunts. Customers can be tasked with finding products from each brand and submitting photos to enter a giveaway, increasing engagement and discovery between complementary brands.
Receipt Scanning:
Enable customers to track their purchases and earn rewards for in-person buying at any retailer using our AI receipt scanning technology. By scanning their receipts, customers can easily connect their offline shopping activities with their online profiles, enhancing data collection and personalization.
To use receipt scanning:
Set the Tracking details to Receipt Upload.
Add the names of the stores you are sold in and all potential product names to allow our AI receipt scanner to accept and reject receipt uploads seamlessly.
Our AI technology will pull important first-party data from receipt uploads, including the retailer, store location, cart composition, and amount spent into your backend to create a fuller picture of each customer and their purchasing habits.
Coming Soon: POS Integrations
rediem plans to integrate with leading point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Shopify, Lightspeed, and others, to further streamline the omnichannel experience. These integrations will allow for more direct engagement and loyalty tracking, making it even easier for brands to reward customers and gather insightful data across all purchasing platforms.
