Setting up your Postscript and rediem integration.

Introduction

Postscript is a texting and engagement tool. Postscript helps you build strong customer relationships across the entire buying experience.​

The Postscript rediem Integration allows you to:

  • Sync your rewards program member information with your Postscript account

  • Send reward program texts directly from Poscript

  • Segment campaign lists based on rewards program information

  • Manage personalized information for each customer in your rewards program

  • Build custom flows using program events like points earned or redeemed

How to integrate with Postscript

Step 1: Navigate to the Integrations tab and click on Add New Integration.

From the drop-down, select Postscript.

Step 2: Log into Postscript and Create an API Key

The Postscript account you log in with must have Owner, Admin, or Manager permissions.

Once logged-in, go to Settings > API and click Create Security Key Pair that you name "Rediem Integration"

Step 3: Paste the API Key in rediem's backend

Copy and paste the key, then click "Validate."

What events and properties are sent to Postscript

When you install the Postscript integration, we’ll automatically start sending reward program events to your Postscript account. These values will be continuously updated in Postscript based on any activity that occurs in your rewards program, and can be used to create segments or to add reward information to SMS campaigns.

  • Rediem Loyalty Sign up

  • Rediem Points Earned

  • Rediem Points Redeemed

  • Rediem VIP Tier Achieved

  • Rediem Tier Downgrade

Create a text based action

Using rediem, you can increase your SMS opt-ins by offering points or rewards for texting the brand number a specific keyword.

Steps in rediem:

Step 1: Click Add Way to Earn

Navigate to Program > Points.

Step 2: Click Postscript Action (this will only work once you have set up the Postscript integration)

Step 3: Set up your action and pick a keyword (make sure the keyword doesn't have spaces)

Step 4: Create a button link URL that includes your number and the keyword to reduce spelling errors and mistakes -- to remove friction, add a QR Code so people can scan to text if they are on desktop!

Step by Step Guide to Create an SMS URL Link:

  1. Start with a href link. <a href=""> </a>

  2. Enter "sms:" into the URL section of the href link scheme. <a href="sms:"> </a>

  3. Enter your CallAction number with international +1 format. <a href="sms:+15153755550"> </a>

  4. Enter your call to action in the displayed link text.

Steps in Postscript:

  • Step 1: Go to Acquisition > Keywords

  • Step 2: Click Create Keyword

  • Step 3: Create a Keyword that matches the keyword you created in the rediem postscript action.

Step 2: Click HTTP Request

Step 3: Copy and paste the Webhook URL from the backend of rediem into the HTTP Request URL Section of Postscript
