Learn how to set up and manage subscription rewards in Rediem by connecting your subscription provider, like Recharge or Stay AI, to your account. Customize rewards—including points, vouchers, free products, gift cards, or custom incentives—to engage customers, boost retention, and make the most of recurring billing cycles.

Setting Up Subscription Rewards in rediem

Once your subscription provider is connected to your rediem account, you can create various types of subscription rewards by following these steps:

How to Create a Subscription Reward:

  1. Navigate to Program > Points.

  2. Click the Add Ways to Earn button.

  3. Select Subscription Reward.

  4. Fill in the title and description, select which subscription product you want to reward, and choose the type of reward you'd like to set up.


1. Point Reward:

For rewards based on points, follow these steps:

  • Cycle: Enter the billing cycle number (e.g., 1st, 2nd, etc.).

  • Reward Type: Select Points.

  • Title: Enter a name for the reward.

  • Reward Logo: Click the image upload button to add a custom reward logo.

  • Points: Manually enter the number of points the customer will receive once they subscribe to the product and complete the specified billing cycle.

Upon completion, click Create to add this points-based reward to your program.


2. Voucher Rewards:

For rewards based on vouchers, follow these steps:

  • Cycle: Enter the billing cycle number.

  • Reward Type: Select Vouchers.

  • Title: Enter a name for the reward.

  • Reward Logo: Upload a custom reward logo.

  • Voucher Type: Choose one of the following:

    • Amount Discount: Enter a specific dollar amount in the field provided.

    • Free Shipping

    • Product Discount (%): Enter a specific percentage discount in the field provided.

  • Each voucher type includes an option to set a Minimum Requirement, which can either be:

    • None: No minimum requirement is needed to view or redeem the voucher.

    • Minimum Amount: Enter a minimum purchase amount the customer must meet to view and redeem the voucher.


3. Custom Rewards:

To create a custom reward, follow these steps:

  • Cycle: Enter the billing cycle number.

  • Reward Type: Select Custom Reward.

  • Title: Enter a name for the reward.

  • Reward Logo: Upload a reward logo.

  • Reward Destination Link: (Optional) Add a destination URL for the reward.

  • Reward Description: Describe the reward.

  • Terms & Conditions: Specify any terms and conditions for redeeming the reward.

  • How to Redeem: Provide instructions on how the customer can redeem this reward.

  • Reward Type: Choose between Coupon or Email.

    • If you select Coupon, enter the coupon code in the next field.

    • If you select Email, specify the Reply-To Email and the Correlated Task.

Once all details are filled out, click Create to add the custom reward.


4. Free Product Rewards:

For offering a free product as a reward, follow these steps:

  • Cycle: Enter the billing cycle number.

  • Reward Type: Select Free Product.

  • Title: Enter a name for the reward.

  • Reward Logo: Upload a reward logo.

  • Choose Product: Select the product the customer will receive as a free reward.

  • Details Page Link: (Optional) Provide a link for the reward destination.

  • Description: Describe the reward.

  • Free Product Restrictions: You can apply certain restrictions such as:

    • Per Cart Limit: Set a limit on the number of free products a customer can redeem per cart.

    • Requires Paid Product: Specify whether a paid product is required to redeem the free product.

Once configured, click Create to add this free product reward to your program.


5. Gift Card Rewards:

To create a reward based on gift cards, follow these steps:

  • Cycle: Enter the billing cycle number.

  • Reward Type: Select Gift Card.

  • Gift Card Details: Fill in the following details:

    • Gift Card Name: Enter the name of the gift card.

    • Reward Description: Provide a description of the reward.

    • Terms & Conditions: Specify any terms for redeeming the gift card.

    • How to Redeem: Provide instructions for how the customer can redeem the gift card.

    • Select Gift Card: Choose the gift card from the dropdown list.

Click Create to add this gift card reward to your program.

How Customers Redeem Subscription Rewards

  1. Subscribe to a Product: The customer needs to subscribe to a product that has a subscription reward tied to it. (The user created the Subscription reward from Points)

  2. Complete the Billing Cycle: After the customer subscribes, the first billing cycle begins (e.g., 1st month).

  3. Earn the Reward: Once the billing cycle is complete, the customer will earn the reward (points, vouchers, free products, custom rewards, or gift cards) associated with that cycle.

  4. Redeem the Reward: The earned reward will become available for redemption in the customer’s account.

This process repeats for every billing cycle, with rewards being earned and redeemed accordingly.
