Understanding Gift Card Rewards

Introduction

Brand gift cards are an excellent way to reward loyal customers, allowing them to redeem their reward points for a gift card from the brands they shop at. This guide explains how brand gift cards work in Rediem, how to create them, and how customers can redeem them.

Overview


Integration with Tremendous

  1. Integrate Tremendous with the Store:
    To use gift cards, the first step is to integrate Tremendous with your store.

  2. Sign Up for Tremendous:
    Go to the Tremendous sign-up page: https://app.tremendous.com/ and complete the sign-up (registration) process.

  3. Check your email and click the verification link. Once verified, you’ll be redirected to the login page.

  4. Enter your registered email and password to log in. Once logged in, the Tremendous dashboard will appear.

  5. Navigate to Store Integrations:
    In the Rediem App, go to the Integrations section and select Tremendous from the list of available integrations.

  6. Connect Tremendous:
    Click the Connect Tremendous button.

  7. Authorize Tremendous:
    Click the Authorize button to proceed.

  8. Add New Integration:
    You will be redirected to the Add New Integration page. Select your country (e.g., United States of America), then click the Integrate button.

  9. Integration Confirmation:
    A success message will appear, confirming that Tremendous has been integrated. You will see Tremendous listed under Integrations.

  10. Verify the Integration:
    Navigate to Points > Ways to Redeem > Basic Reward, and click on Gift Card. If no error message is shown and the tab opens successfully, the integration is complete.


How to Create a Gift Card Reward

  1. Go to the Points page in your Rediem admin dashboard and click on the Add Ways to Redeem button in the top right corner of the Ways to Redeem section.

  2. Select Gift Cards from the reward types.

  3. Fill in the required details:

    1. Name of the reward

    2. Description

    3. Terms and Conditions

    4. How to Redeem

    5. Start Date and End Date

    6. Set the limits for:

      • Per User Lifetime Redemption - Refers to the total number of times a user can redeem a gift card over the course of their lifetime.

      • Per User Monthly Redemption - Refers to the total number of times a user can redeem a gift card in a month.

      • Total Redemptions - Refers to the total number of redemptions.

    7. Choose a gift card from the drop-down list, and assign points and amounts for the selected gift card(s).

    8. Optionally, use the Customer Tags feature to filter by specific customer tiers. This will ensure that the gift card is only visible to those in the selected tier. If you would like this to be available to all customers, leave this blank.

    9. If needed, you can select multiple gift cards by using the Add button.

  4. Click Save to finalise the gift card reward.

  5. Once saved, customers can begin redeeming points for gift cards.


How to Redeem a Gift Card

  1. View Available Gift Cards:
    Customers can find available gift cards in the Redeem section under Other Rewards.

  2. Select a Gift Card:
    Clicking on a gift card will open the gift card page, showing different variants of the gift card (as created in the admin dashboard).

  3. Choose a Gift Card Variant:
    The customer can select any gift card variant, but it can only be redeemed if the customer's points are equal to or greater than the points required for that specific gift card.

  4. Confirmation Message:
    After selecting a gift card, a confirmation message will appear:
    "Are you sure you want to redeem a $[x] [Gift Card Name] gift card?"
    This will be accompanied by a Redeem button.

  5. Redemption Confirmation:
    Once the user clicks the Redeem button, a message will appear saying, "Gift card has been sent to your email address."

  6. Email of the Gift Card
