Managing Tasks

The Tasks page helps you manage ongoing tasks as part of the loyalty program

Overview

About the Tasks page

The Tasks page is a high-level overview of the actions that need to be taken to manage your loyalty program, and surfaces pending community approvals alongside any tasks tied to reward redemptions or custom actions. It's broken into 3 sections:

  1. Pending Community Approvals shows the number of submissions waiting for your review.

  2. Pending Tasks shows actions you still need to complete.

  3. Completed Tasks shows actions you have already marked done.

How it works

A task appears on the Tasks page when a reward or custom action has a Correlated Task attached to it. When a customer redeems that reward, rediem creates the task automatically and lists it under Pending Tasks.

Once you complete the action, mark the task complete and it moves to Completed Tasks.

How to set it up

  1. Open the reward or action you want to attach a task to, under Program Points

  2. Locate the Correlated Task section.

  3. Enter a clear instruction in the Title field describing the internal action that you need to take when the reward is redeemed.

  4. Save the reward or action. Leave the Title field blank if no follow-up action is required.

How to complete a task

Use correlated tasks for any reward that needs a manual step after redemption, and mark the task as complete when done. This will move the task into the completed tasks section.

Common examples

  1. Internal team action. Trigger a task for your team to process a donation when a customer redeems a donation reward.

  2. Customer follow-up. Trigger a task to email a customer for their shipping address when they redeem a physical reward, such as a free year of soap.

  3. Fulfillment coordination. Trigger a task to order or ship an experiential reward, such as concert tickets.

  4. Eligibility check. Trigger a task to verify a customer before fulfilling a high-value reward.
