What Does Skio Do?
Skio is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage subscription services, including creating, customizing, and billing recurring orders. Connecting Skio to rediem lets merchants reward customers for subscription milestones and apply discounts to subscription products, so customers get more value from staying subscribed and merchants benefit from stronger retention and recurring revenue.
Requirements
Before getting started, ensure you have:
A Skio account with API access enabled.
Active subscription products in Skio.
Billing intervals and pricing configured for each subscription product.
Discounts correctly applied to subscription products.
đ Note: The Skio integration supports both one-time and recurring discounts for subscriptions.
How to Integrate
Log in to the Skio account.
Navigate to Account â API.
Generate an API key.
4. In the rediem merchant admin, go to Integrations.
5. Select Skio from the list.
6. Enter the API key and click Validate.
7. Go to Program â Points.
8. Click Add Ways to Redeem.
9. Select Subscription Reward
10. Enter a reward name, an optional icon, and a reward value.
11. Click Save
đĄ Pro tip: Set up separate rewards for different subscription plans or lengths to keep customers engaged long-term.
How It Works
Customers view available subscription rewards in the Loyalty Dashboard under Redeem. Selecting a reward and applying it adds the discount to the customer's next subscription order.
đ Note: Only products configured as subscriptions in Skio are eligible for subscription rewards.
