Leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks customers based on their loyalty points, highlighting top performers and accelerating engagement.

Overview

About The Leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks customers by lifetime points, giving every member a clear view of where they stand in the community. Customers can see their current rank and total points, and track their progress toward climbing to the top.

The leaderboard includes three views: All-Time, Monthly, and Weekly.

Monthly and Weekly views give every customer a fresh shot at the top, lowering the barrier for newer members to compete. You can use these shorter intervals to run time-bound challenges with dedicated rewards for whoever finishes in the top rankings.

📋 Note: Users excluded from the program or with deleted accounts are automatically excluded from leaderboard rankings and exports.

How To Set It Up

  1. Go to Community Settings → Leaderboard Settings.

  2. Enable Display Leaderboard to make the leaderboard visible to customers.

  3. Enable Calculate Leaderboard to allow the system to process and store ranking data.

  4. Select the Featured Time Interval to define the default leaderboard view.

  5. Save your changes.

Top Performer Badges

Customers who rank in the top percentiles of the leaderboard earn a badge displayed on their profile. Badges are awarded at the top 1%, top 5%, top 10%, and top 20% thresholds, calculated using lifetime points.

Data Cleanup Rules

Leaderboard data is automatically cleaned to maintain performance:

  • Weekly data retains only the last 3 weeks.

  • Monthly data retains only the last 2 months.

  • All-Time data is retained permanently.

Leaderboard Exports

Leaderboard data can be exported from the Analytics section of your rediem Merchant Admin. Available exports include current rankings, weekly data, monthly data, and all-time data. Exports can be used for reporting, reward distribution, and customer segmentation.

Embedding the Leaderboard

The leaderboard can be embedded into your website or community pages to showcase top customers and drive engagement outside the customer dashboard. Instructions on setting up the leaderboard nudge can be found in the article on nudges.

Key Notes

  • The leaderboard is hidden by default until Display Leaderboard is enabled.

  • Data is only tracked when Calculate Leaderboard is enabled.

  • Customers can switch between All-Time, Monthly, and Weekly views.

  • Excluded users will not appear in rankings or exports.

  • Weekly and Monthly data are automatically cleaned on a rolling basis.

  • All-Time data is always retained.
